When Kittara first saw Disney's furry version of Robin Hood she started pretending to be a fox throughout her childhood. Whenever Halloween came around, she wanted to have a red tail and ears, but her mother talked her into being a cat instead since fake fox ears and tail were harder to find and more expensive.
In high school Kittara started experimenting with poetry. Shortly thereafter, the local newspaper published one of her poems. It sparked her lifetime obsession with writing. She found the furry fandom in 1998 through a friend and realized for the first time she wasn't alone in her love for animals that walked and talked like people.
In her various college writing classes, her work was often used as examples. In 2011, writing became her favorite hobby. Since then she's always been working on some literary project or another, whether it be poems, short stories, or larger endeavors.
In 2017, she finally took the biggest step of her life. A publishing house was calling for short stories about foxes. She submitted one, and it was selected for publication in an anthology. This was followed by two more successes in 2018.
She started focusing on extending her stories, and expanding the Sci-fi universe she created to have a novel ready for submission. When another short story call came out, she postponed her novel to write another short story. In 2021, this one, too, was selected for publication.
She was born in Canada but now lives in Texas with her husband, four dogs and four cats.
