A.B. Finn

A.B. Finn is a poet, high school teacher, athlete, and native of California. Born and raised in the East Bay Area in a devout football family, Finn descends from Mexican Californios, Irish immigrants, and the Salinan neophytes of Mission San Antonio de Padua. Finn writes to remember himself, to honor the suppressed history of the land, and to disrupt american mythmaking. Most of all, he writes to heal for those he loves, and for those who will come after him. He lives in Pittsburg, where he teaches English, Creative Writing, and coaches the school’s award-winning slam poetry team, The Pittsburg Prodigies.
