Dear Readers,
I turned eighty years-old on May the 4th be with you ,2026. On my retirement from nursing in 2011 I decided to start writing. I took a writing course at Humber College in Toronto and was lucky to have Allister McLeod as my instructor. I also joined the London Writers Society in London On., and also a small writing critique group. I can thank fellow writers for their suggestions and encouragement.
I set out to write for my own enjoyment one word, one sentence, one paragraph at a time. Before I knew it I had enough stories for a book. Thus the birth of my first book and memoir, Caps & Capers stories of my nursing training from 1965 to 1968. I have a number of postive reveiws online and a box full from local readers. From Peama with Love, was my second book. Peama ( the name my grandkids call me, shares family history in the form of bedtime stories. Tales that span three generations and follow our early anscestors from Scotland in the early 1800s to Toronto in the mid 1900s.
My third book, Pulse:The Rhythm of a Nurse, is in the final stages of editing and I hope to launch it soon. A memoir of my nursing adventures from 1968 to 2011.
