Jess Gosling MCCT, MA Childhood Studies and Early Years, PGCE Primary (QTS)
After struggling to establish a work/life balance and unfulfilled by the poor working conditions for teachers in the UK, in 2009, Jess decided to teach abroad. Seeking adventure, she travelled with her husband to Egypt with little more than a 60L backpack and no idea what would happen next. The move was a fortunate one, as she was instantly ‘sold’ by all she experienced: the international school offered wonderful facilities and provided abundant resources, freedom and flexibility of the curricula taught and moreover, well-behaved, curious children.
That first experience set forth a life-long career, where she developed a passion for international teaching. Now an experienced international teacher, her aim is to provide insight into the world of international teaching, in the hope to inspire other teachers to have the confidence to change their lives.
In addition to many fantastic holidays all around the world, this lifestyle has allowed Jess to afford to stay home and raise her daughter, self-fund a Masters' in Early Years Education, and have the time necessary to set up and excel at her own Early Years business whilst living in Vietnam.
She currently lives and works at an international school in Taiwan. Her husband, also a teacher, her 7 year old daughter also share this adventure with her. Jess loves to read, blog, drink wine, travel, explore and share new experiences with friends and her family.
