David Lardizabal

David Lardizabal, MD, MBA, FAAN, is a physician, educator, and independent theorist who bridges the disciplines of neurology, physics, and speculative thought. He currently serves as Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology in Charleston, West Virginia, where he leads clinical programs, mentors trainees, and advances innovations in neurologic care.

Dr. Lardizabal trained in Adult Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Philippine General Hospital, with a background in Internal Medicine from Cebu Velez General Hospital. Throughout his career, he has held academic appointments at the University of Missouri, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. His passion for medical student education led him to author Basic Skills of Neurology, a widely used resource that distills essential clinical principles for learners at the bedside.

Beyond the clinic and classroom, Dr. Lardizabal has spent more than four decades exploring the mysteries of the universe as an amateur theoretical physicist. Fascinated by gravity, quantum mechanics, relativity, and above all, the nature of time, he developed the Multidimensional Entropic Time Theory (METT)—a novel framework that reimagines time as a dynamic, entropic manifold embedded in the fabric of existence.

His first published work in physics, The Fabric of Futures, represents the synthesis of these diverse passions. It is a bold intellectual endeavor that weaves clinical insight, intuitive philosophy, and theoretical physics into a unified vision. Dr. Lardizabal also writes speculative fiction that probes consciousness, identity, and the outer limits of human understanding.
