Maren Jones

Maren has a quirky sense of humor that her children understand, her husband tolerates, and her dog ignores completely. She is mostly an introvert but can fake being comfortable in social situations for a limited amount of time, especially if the event includes popcorn or chocolate.

Maren lives in Chandler, Arizona where the winters are fantastic and the summers are scorching. Seriously, it gets really hot! The parking lots have trees planted in the middle to provide shade for the cars, and handling a seat belt buckle in the summer can lead to painful burns. And shopping for ice cream is best done at 6 a.m. so it doesn't melt in the car on the way home (if you're lucky!). But it's home to Maren's three children and eight grandchildren, which makes it perfect!

Starting with a bachelor's degree in Textile Art, Maren has explored many different interests and has been known to shingle a roof, rewire a house, weave fabric on a loom, build furniture, research family genealogy, decorate cakes, sew wedding dresses, cut her husband's hair, make stained glass windows, ballroom dance, and teach Sunday School. She tries to be grateful for all the little things in life, but still hates her picture on her driver's license.
