Pam Estes enjoys reading and writing historical fiction. Her first novel, Making a Beeline Home, was published in 2011. It details actual
and imagined events in the lives of her parents growing up in the small town of Elizabeth, Arkansas in the 1940s. Her second book, Finding my Way Home, continues the narrative of Bobby and Allie, the two main characters of her previous novel. Even though both books were written with the student population in mind, the author has found that adults enjoy these books as much as the young. Readers will be able to relate to the funny, trying, and sometimes embarrassing experiences of the characters. These books focus on familiar love, closeness of community, and Christian living. Pam Estes is a retired teacher. She began working on her novels after teaching the writing process to her intermediate-level students. In addition to writing, this author enjoys reading, gardening, camping, and spending time with her family.
