Laura Bratton-Butler comes to us from the small, Country town of Bradley, Arkansas. After dealing with Depression, PTSD, Crippling Grief and Dysfunction - this first time Author simply desires to be an authentic Voice for those who suffer in silence. These subjects are not pretty and polished, however she was driven to Write what she knew. Laura was often approached by people who tearfully shared their personal Stories of Pain and Regret. Their kindred Voices lingered with her often calling to her years after an encounter. Laura prayed for a way to help other sufferers by doing more than just empathizing with them. Her search often grew “dark” but her drive and tenacity wouldn’t let her abandon what she said felt like a God-given Assignment. God heard her Prayer and sent awesome Doctors and Therapists, as well as Clergy and Christian Counselors to help Light the way. She recalls how a beloved lady Therapist in Kansas always reminded her to “Write About It!” Having discovered as a child that Writing about Life was helpful, she did just that! Victorious Voices Of Abuse is the result of many years of tears and countless, sleepless nights! Whereas “Victorious Voices Of Abuse” is a labor of Love that deals with serious subject matter - it was in no way written to entertain. This book comes at a time when many Readers are in search of materials to Educate and Empower them in this ever changing world. She prays her first book might truly disturb the comfortable - and sincerely comfort the disturbed.
Laura looks forward to her first Official Book Signing in KCMO, and believes Love and Forgiveness were her greatest steps towards Inner Peace. She currently calls Oklahoma home and wishes to “Thank You” for your interest in Victorious Voices Of Abuse.
