I was born in Dublin, Ireland and spent my childhood there. I remember at a very early age, drawing picture stories on a blackboard. As kids, we used to play outside of a pub in Crumlin called The Gate Bar. Brendan Behan would occasionally walk past on his way to see his parents who lived in nearby Kildare Road. He would stop and talk to us children and tell us stories, so I guess he was my first literary influence. I spent a career of almost forty years working within mental health, a great deal of which was within a forensic setting. I spent over ten years working within prisons and also have been with high, medium and low secure mental health units. I spent the later years working in criminal justice mental health liaison which entailed speaking to and assessing offenders, often murderers, within a very short time of them committing the offence. Also, I would have to present written and oral evidence to courts of all levels. I draw on these experiences for a lot of my writing. I have a strong interest in paranormal events particularly ghosts and the occult. I am married and have two grown up daughters. I am now retired and able to write full time. I live in Canada. I published Katt of Ten Tales in July 2021. My Family Ghosts was published in 2022 and is a true account of paranormal happenings that either I have experienced, or relatives and people that I know. My latest book That Katt Could Talk! is another collection of short stories, the second in the Kattch Words series which started with Katt of Ten Tales, was published in October 2023. My next collection of short stories The Katt Came Back will be published in 2024. I am also writing a full-length novel Acorn Cottage.
