fahima ife is a poet, essayist, and author of Maroon Choreography (2021) and the forthcoming poetry collection, Septet for the Luminous Ones (2024). She is associate professor of Black Aesthetics and Poetics in the department of Critical Race and Ethnic Studies at the University of California Santa Cruz.
