D M Jones was born to immigrant parents from the former Yugoslavia. She was raised in a small village, Denholme, in West Yorkshire where her parents worked in Fosters Mill. Dani wrote her first play at primary school and went on to Keighley Girls Grammar School where she spent most of her time singing, dancing and getting into trouble. When she was forty she returned to education and gained a B A (Hons) in Home and Community Studies. After gaining a PGCE in further education she went on to study counselling and psychotherapy. She had a variety of jobs which all involved people, in the private and social sectors whilst also running a private practice in psychotherapy. The one thing about Dani is that once you have met her you will never forget her. Her positive attitude, storytelling and ability to make you laugh make her a natural comedienne whose observations on life and people can not fail to amuse.
She also writes under the name of Dani Jones. Check out her newest books Against All Odds and The Waiting Game
