Kim Muench

Kim Muench is a Jai Institute for Parenting Certified Parent Coach and the founder of Real Life Parent Guide, where she helps parents of emerging adults (18–30) replace fear, conflict, and second-guessing with calm, confident, consistent leadership.

With nearly four decades of parenting five children and years of coaching families through “stuck” seasons—mental health challenges, substance use concerns, strained communication, and the exhausting blur between helping and enabling—Kim is known for her compassionate, no-judgment approach and practical, relationship-first strategies that create real forward movement.

She is the author of Becoming Me While Raising You: A Mother’s Journey to Her Self and the upcoming Lost in Place: How to Support, Motivate, and Launch an Adult Child (late 2026), a roadmap for parents navigating the complicated in-between years when an adult child isn’t launching as expected.
