Amy Damatt

Amy is a married mother of four grown-up children and she has four grandchildren.

She worked as nurse in a hospital near London then an assistant in a children’s home, helping to care for kids excluded from school and those experiencing difficulties relating to their parents.

Amy lives near Manchester in Northwest England and had the idea for ’A Puppy’s Tale by Rex’ in memory of the pet Labrador she adored as a child.

She invited family friend Adam Banks to illustrate her book knowing his colourful hand drawings and cartoon characters appeal to young readers.

Adam is a schoolboy from Kent on the south coast of England. The pair form a unique partnership showing how people of different ages and backgrounds can come together to share a beautiful story.
