Dr. David Hoch

In 1989, I earned my doctorate in Sports Management from Temple University and have served as an adjunct graduate professor, athletic administrator, college instructor, college coach, teacher and high school coach over a 41 year career. In addition, I served 19 years as the executive director of the Maryland State Coaches Association and am a past-president of the Maryland State Athletic Directors Association.

Throughout my career, I have authored over 725 articles which were published in professional magazines, several textbook chapters, 5 books and professional course manuals. In 2013, I was honored with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Frank Kovaleski Professional Development Award. In addition, I was inducted into the Maryland State Athletic Directors Hall of Fame, was awarded the NIAAA Distinguished Service Award and 2 NFHS Citation Awards.

When I am not writing, teaching or presenting, I love spending time with our granddaughter, Blake!
