Clyde Cremer

Clyde Cremer was born and raised in northeastern Iowa. After his high school graduation, he enlisted in the Army where, although he was trained as a tank crewman, he usually found himself behind a desk with a manual typewriter rather than an automatic rifle (due to his clerical “skills”). With his stints at the Army Arctic Test Center, Ft. Greely, Alaska, and then in G-2, 1st Armored Division, behind him, Clyde attended Lassen College in Susanville, CA (AA degree), then Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, TX (BS, Forestry), and finally Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (MF). Since then, he and his wife have been self-employed as the owners of American Log Homes, Inc. and American Log Brokers, LLC, a business that manufactures custom log homes that are shipped across the United States and as far away as Japan. Cremer has two grown children, Jeff and Kellie, and he and his wife Gail live in Colorado.
