Andrew Balbus

Andrew Balbus is the founder of Balbus Law Firm, located in Danbury, Connecticut. His practice is limited to representing individuals and small businesses in bankruptcy cases in Connecticut and neighboring counties in New York.

Andrew Balbus received an LL.M. Master of Laws degree in bankruptcy law from St John's University School of Law where he also has been an Adjunct Professor. Mr. Balbus received his J.D. degree with honors from Harvard Law School. In addition to his outstanding legal education, he has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in finance from the Columbia University School of Business and a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in accounting/management science from Duke University. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies.

Mr. Balbus is the author of five scholarly articles regarding bankruptcy issues, which have been cited by bankruptcy court judges across the country.

Prior to founding Balbus Law Firm, Mr. Balbus spent three decades as a lawyer, investment banker, business turnaround leader and entrepreneur.
