Sally Schloss

Sally Schloss was born in Brooklyn, New York and has been a short story writer most of her life, published, unpublished, and award winning. She lives in Nashville, TN where she previously wrote articles for the music industry and the Nashville Arts Magazine. By day she is an English Communications Coach for International Executives and by night she writes. Helping Howard is her debut novel

Why I write…

“…if you pulled a book from a shelf you would hold something of heft in your hands and the cover would be a visual representation of the world of that book, and make you want to open the cover to enter it. And you did, time and again, and the words would teach you things and give you deep pleasure and pain, and over your life you were shaped by their pages, their contents building and reflecting your beliefs. But more than that it made you articulate. You could take these squiggles, these energetic, emoting, muscular symbols that traveled from mind to mind, through time and distance, and they became you. ”
