Gururaj

My father used to tell me when I was very young that you have to be multi-faceted. At that age I didn't know the meaning or the significance about that. Now when I am past 50 and look back, I feel that I am a multi-faceted person. I have created a puzzle in Mathematics, called the Magic Square Puzzles. Magic Square is part of Mathematics and my mother Indira Narasinga Rao was working on it. She created a 1000 x 1000 magic square and found a mention in the Limca Book of Records. My mother had found out a unique method to create that large magic squares.

I helped her in writing a book titled MAGIC OF MAGIC SQUARE and in that process I learnt a lot about magic squares. That was my initiation into this addictive journey of magic squares.

I created my own puzzles based on magic squares and I call them MAGIC SQUARE PUZZLES. I have hosted a website for the same www.magicsquarepuzzles.com My puzzles appear daily in THE HINDU IN SCHOOL a sister publication from the house of THE HINDU. THE HINDU newspaper had made a write up about me https://www.thehindu.com/life-and-style/leisure/multiples-of-fun/article3717368.ece I have come out with a book titled MAGIC SQUARE PUZZLES. The magic square puzzles involves both Arithmetic and Logic. The young and the old alike if they solve just one puzzle would come out of the fear for Mathematics and start loving mathematics.

That is one part of me.

The second part of mine is that I LOVE Science. I have done a lot of programs for a TV channel in India about science. My programs were well received. I am planning to write a series of books on science to kindle the interest of the student community in the science to motivate them to become scientists.

I have yet another side of mine.

I LOVE to read the books that teach you the art of living. I am an Indian and in our culture there are epics like Ramayana and Mahabharatha. These books discuss a lot about morality and moral dilemma. They also give you suggestions about how to face your problems in day to day life.

There are many management concepts also embedded in them. But I would like to decipher them for a common man and how they could help him and guide him in the day-to-day life.

I have come out with a book titled CONQUER THE WORLD - INDIAN WAY, using the Pen Name Gururaj.

This is the first in the series. I intend to write more in that genre.... nay in all the genres.

I also LOVE Shakespeare, I LOVE Mahakavi Kalidass and I LOVE Tamil Literature. So my interests are now truly varied. I feel and enjoy being a multi-faceted person like my father wanted me to.

As I have studied a lot of books in these genres and also in other genres, I would like to share a few of my studies to my readers through books.

In all these I would like to thank God for having made me read books in diverse fields and kept the spirit of enquiry alive in my mind all these days.
