A native of Washington State, Richard D. Colbert worked in the lumber mills, is a retired career Army Warrant Officer, a Telecommunications engineer, author, publisher, and educator. He graduated with a degree in Sociology from Excelsior College in New York and completed his Master's Degree in Education at Boston University. He is currently a Secondary School teacher in Washington State.
His story line reflects honesty in life with events confirmed through research efforts spanning multiple archives, including newspapers, media data, and on-site sessions at the Congressional Library and Pictorial Archives in Washington, D.C. In tribute to a life-long love of the written word, he believes learning never stops, and life always has lessons to teach us.
