Jennifer Dugger

JENNIFER DUGGER is passionate about helping women see how God can equip and empower them for His mission. As God has called her to new and unexpected adventures that stretch her beyond her own abilities, she has learned to trust the Lord in all areas of life. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a math degree, she spent several years teaching high school-level math. She also earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction through Tarleton State University, fully intending to pursue a career as a curriculum director for a local school district. However, through the various twists and turns in life, she adopted three children and now homeschools two of them who have various disabilities.

Inspired to share how God has helped her mature and learn through her life's different surprising events, she started a blog and Facebook page, Growing By Surprise. It is dedicated to encouraging women in their faith and offering hope in the journey for those who have special needs children.

In addition to writing, Jennifer helps coordinate a local American Heritage Girls troop, tutors students in math, and assists with a homeschool co-op. She lives in Texas with her husband and three kids and is blessed with a very loving extended family who lives nearby and supports and encourages her.
