Cary Murphy

Cary Murphy is the author and creator of Captain Black: A Pirate’s Tale, and Meeko The Monkey’s A-Z Animal Band.

A career creative professional and advertising executive, he has over twenty-five years experience designing products, packaging, and developing marketing programs for Fortune 100 companies and startups alike.

Cary also the founded Lucky Dog Publishing, and had this to say about creating children’s books: “I have lasting, positive memories of the books from my childhood, and the goal with all of our books is to create something exceptional that will foster a love of reading and inspire kids to learn, create and dream.” Cary lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Adriana and his daughter, Bella Shea.
