Vanessa is an eclectic reader. On her bookshelves, you'll find Harriet the Spy and The Catcher in the Rye next to The Short-Timers, Johnny Got His Gun, and The Scorpio Races. Harry Dresden has a place there, together with Lockwood & Co., Elvis Cole, and - of course! - Dave Robicheaux.

To paraphrase the great Stephen King, Vanessa does not read to study the craft, she reads because she likes to read and because she likes stories. As for her personal story, Vanessa loves horses and is owned by two, Rob Roy and Dreamscape.
