Michael E. Bash

Michael E. Bash, founder of Cambridge Companies, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, started his career in the real estate and land development arena over fifty-five years ago. As a young engineer Bash had a keen understanding of how things worked and fit together, a talent he had already discovered as a young boy in his native pre-Israel Jerusalem.

After borrowing $30,000 from a friend of his father to finance his first real estate deal, Bash was immediately hooked on the industry. He profited so well from that initial loan that a few years later, prior to his thirty-second birthday, he officially became a millionaire. Since then, he has been involved with major planning and zoning projects and building and developing a number of shopping centers, hundreds of homes, office buildings, water and sewer systems, and nearly 3,600 apartment units and condos throughout New York State. He also participated in building the Laniado Hospital in Netanya, Israel, and is one of the founders and contributors to the Jerusalem Great Synagogue.

Actively involved in charity work and politics, Mr. Bash served as financial advisor to then President Jimmy Carter as part of the Democratic National Finance Committee and later as advisor to President George H. W. Bush. He financed several telethons for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, which continues to raise several million dollars annually to cover critical medical procedures for children. He is occasionally interviewed on various cable networks, such as CNN and Fox.

Bash’s second passion is writing. His book topics include investment, history, science, and the Bible. The most recently published is Evolution by God, which discusses a path toward achieving harmony between science and religion.
