Jill Dunlap Brown

Jill began her career as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher, and later spent time as a literacy coach. She spent seven years as an educational consultant for schools across Missouri. She helped schools with understanding the components of reading, reading data, and reading interventions. She also assisted schools in implementing RTI/MTSS as a system, and facilitated the development of curriculum around state standards. She spent nine years in administration as a building principal and assistant superintendent. She has worked in small rural schools and large urban districts.

Jill has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. During these years, she has worked with students, teachers, administrators, universities, and state departments. Her passion is ensuring that all children learn to read and that every teacher and school leader is empowered to know how to put this into practice. Her expertise is in implementing systems of support for schools.

Jill holds a BA in Elementary Education, a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction, an EdS in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.
