Jaime Pinto Dominguez was born in Bucaramanga, a beautiful and warm city in Colombia, on May 22, 1945. Since he was a child he was very restless, hardworking, responsible and with great social skills. His childhood, although happy, was difficult due to the unexpected death of his mother when he was just a child, which made him mature in a hurry and overcome the difficulties of life hand in hand with God. He entered military life at a very young age, a profession that gave him great satisfaction and learning. In his mature stage he discovers his great passion for letters and dedicates himself in a self-taught way to write and express his emotions and feelings through the thoughts that he gives and recites generously to all the people around him as a sign of his great affection.
This is the origin of the idea of compiling some of his thoughts under the title with which he identifies himself: I am not a poet.
