Emily Whitson is a former marketing copywriter and a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a major in journalism. She is now pursuing a Master of Education with a specialization in English Literature at Vanderbilt University. She served on the Alumnae Board for Harpeth Hall, a college preparatory school for girls, from which she graduated as salutatorian of her class.
Whitson is particularly passionate about women’s education and female stories. When she isn’t writing or in the classroom, she can usually be found with her dog, Hoss. BENEATH THE MARIGOLDS is her debut novel.
