Annette Demetriou

Annette grew up in London and is a graduate of the University of Westminster in Graphic Information Design.

WILD is her debut children's picture book. She is beyond thrilled to have been able to share the journey with co-writer Dawn White and Sam Langley-Swain from publishing house Owlet Press - go #TeamWILD!

"I’m passionate about stories that address the everyday issues our children face. Turning them on their head and then sending out those all-important positive messages through the magic of the written word."

Her mixed heritage background has sparked her enthusiasm for wanting to see and celebrate a wealth of diversity in picture books. Whether it's a wolf in glasses or a little girl trying to find where she belongs, Annette would like to see every child being able to find themselves in a book and think "that's just like me!"
