Dave built a loyal Chicago radio audience writing and performing a daily monologue called Dave’s Rave, for which he received the Edward R. Murrow Award for best writing in major market radio. He received the World Gold Medal for best writing for radio by the New York Festivals International Media competition. An album of his spoken humor essays was nominated for a Spoken Word Grammy. After more than twenty years on Chicago drive-time radio, Dave migrated to South Florida for a climate change upgrade. Here, he became a travel blogger for Apple Vacations, profiling all-inclusive luxury resorts across Mexico and the Caribbean. The inspiration for the novel, "Lock, Stock & Peril" came to him on one of his many trips down the Florida Keys to Key West. Dave lives with his partner-in-crime Anita in Boynton Beach.
