Peter Hague

Peter Hague has written poetry most of his life and always returned to it, like it was some sort of duty – a way of explaining the world – or testing it. His recent book ‘Hope in the Heart of Hatred’, is regarded as a bridging book between his earlier work, and also ‘Gain of Function’, which is a collection produced from the work he is writing on a daily basis. A number of other books are available, encompassing both the exciting work he is doing now and the revival of his early output, having finally decided to concentrate his remaining years on a quest to become a respected voice in poetry. His latest release is the brilliantly creative 'The Laments of the Soul' – an experimental work of prose poetry.
