Jeffrey DeMure, AIA, is a visionary architect with over 35 years in professional practice, and the founder of Jeffrey DeMure + Associates Architects Planners, Inc. (JD+A) Jeffrey and his talented team trademarked Livable Design™, a revolutionary collection of simple, cost-effective elements that make any living space fully inclusive for residents and guests of all ages and mobility profiles. In 2018, Jeff published his first book Livable Design: From Commodity to Community with Affordable, Adaptable, Beautiful Home Design.
As an in-demand nationally recognized speaker (forums such as PCBC, ULI, NAHB’s International Builders Show, The Seaside Institute, and Leading Age), Jeff also serves on numerous boards and advisory committees with the goal of sharing his vision for the future of the industry—a world where our homes and communities are built to grow with us over the course of an entire lifetime. As a designer and a creative instigator, Jeff is leading the conversation on crafting spaces with intention. His philosophy is that simple, efficient, and beautiful spaces lead to better living.
Since founding JD+A in 2005, Jeff has evolved his talents to designing and crafting a successful entrepreneurial business. He designed a simple and profound model for organizing and analyzing entrepreneurial organizations, the Q3 Quad Mod, which is the subject of his second book, Death to the Org Chart. He works with entrepreneurs and industry leaders to help them evaluate, rebalance, and restructure their businesses using this model with spectacular success. Jeff is also an active leader in his church, a commercial pilot, and devoted husband to Melanie, with whom he has four beautiful children, Emily, JT, Jeremy, and Brayden.
