Marcello Cabus

I am a Latino and Filipino boy from the barrio who shined shoes in a black nightclub in Denver, loved beautiful women, partied with rock stars (Dylan to the Stones), engaging in a knife fight in North Africa, sold LSD in Europe, and visited exotic Kashmir.

My arrest for conspiracy with the owners of the Denver Comets made The Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, and New York Times newspapers. I ended up in jail more than once and endured the toughest rehab in the USA.

I helped build Denver’s first rock’n’roll venue, was part of the freeform radio revolution, and created a custom clothing store.

I relied on my childhood religious values to help me overcome both addiction and tragedy. I quit dealing drugs, became a successful entrepreneur who invented a machine to help reduce hunger.
