Wendy Pendleton

Wendy Pendleton is an educator, dog trainer, agility competitor, and founder of PEAK K9s for Kids, a nonprofit focused on therapy dogs, restorative practices, and educational resources for students and schools.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Science Education and a master’s degree in Restorative Justice in Education. Her teaching, science background, and work with students shape the heart of her writing, especially its focus on connection, accountability, repair, reflection, and second chances.

Wendy’s earlier PEAK K9s for Kids books, including "PEAK K9s for Kids: Our Story" and the Mindset Journal series, were created to share the heart of the PEAK mission and encourage readers to reflect, grow, and believe in their own potential. Her "Adventures of the PEAK Dogs!" series brings that same mission into fiction through school-based mysteries inspired by real dogs, real students, and the quiet power of connection.

Vixen, Wendy’s real-life therapy dog, has worked alongside her in school spaces, while Rebel and Jed bring their own personalities, humor, and heart to the fictional PEAK Dogs world.

When she is not teaching or writing, Wendy can often be found training dogs, competing in agility, creating classroom resources, or dreaming up the next PEAK Dogs adventure.
