The author is a member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries of India. He has over four decades of corporate work experience with multi-national companies and Indian business houses. He has held positions of Director Finance, CFO, Company Secretaries and the like. For most part of his career he has been involved with interactions with Board Members, Auditors and Consultants. His work passion centered around Systems, Controls, Budgeting, Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Compliances.
Driven by his passion and looking at the guidance needs of Directors, Compliance Professionals and Gatekeepers he wrote his first book titled "MANAGEMENT OF RISKS UNDER THE COMPANIES ACT, 2013. The second book which is a sequel is titled "CORPORATE GOVERNANCE IN INDIA-CHALLENGES."
It is his firm belief that both the books can serve as personal guides for the members of board of directors - particularly the Independent Directors to discharge their onerous duties more effectively by managing their personal risks. The books will also be of help to those appearing for the on-line proficiency test for enrolment in the Data Bank of Independent Directors maintained by the IICA.
