Jen Offord

Jen Offord is a writer and broadcast journalist from London by way of Essex. She got into journalism after writing a blog about trying every Olympic sport, which inspired her to ditch her job in the civil service and cycle across America on her bicycle, Beyoncé, and embark upon a career in journalism.

Jen now co-hosts and produces the popular Standard Issue Podcast, a weekly magazine for ears founded by comedian Sarah Millican and aimed at championing women's voices. As well as working on the podcast Jen can be found reading the news on British Eurosport, and is a regular contributor to Eurosport.co.uk. She has written for Huff Post UK, ESPN, Red Magazine, the Radio Times, The Guardian, IBTimes, The Mirror, The Telegraph, and Lonely Planet, among others. She has also appeared on Sky News, BBC Radio Four’s Women’s Hour and Podcast Radio Hour, Talksport Radio, BBC World Service and Radio 5 Live.

Her debut book, The Year Of The Robin: Watching It All Go Wrong For Charlton Athletic and the World, was shortlisted for the iaugural Vikki Orvice Sunday Times Sports Book Award for New Women's Sports Writing.

Jen lives in London with her daughter.
