Ralph J. Cross

Ralph Cross was born in Birmingham England in 1945, and qualified as a solicitor in 1968. He then took a year out, before "gap years" had been popular and worked as a tour guide in Scotland and a lorry driver in England. After several years running his own legal practice he changed course and began selling fruit vegetables and delicatessen products in the far north of Scotland. He began writing by doing short stories for his children introducing them to animals which lived there. When he decided to close his business in Scotland he began to write seriously and eventually "Diamond Fire" was published in 2009. This was later followed by "The Bend in the River" two years later. Other books followed and then in November 2021 his latest novel "Hawkes Reach" appeared on Amazon Kindle.
