J.A. Adams

Born in Ohio, J.A. Adams has been immersed in various cultures while living on the east, west, and Gulf coasts. After completing a Ph.D. and a sixteen-year teaching career in English composition and literature at Louisiana State University, Adams is happily retired in Colorado to a full-time writing avocation. The author’s debut novel, Pillars of Salt, grew out of observing and becoming enamored with Louisiana’s delightful Cajun culture.

Inspiration for Adams’ latest novel, Bomb Cyclone, arose after Russia’s annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. The novel addresses the effect of the resulting unrest on Mykola, a Ukrainian/American émigré, and the beautiful spy sent by the Russian SVR to acquire coordinates for a lost bomb that Mykola has apparently discovered in Crimea.
