Ann Olsen

Born an only child in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, I set out to find adventure on my own, starting in the woods behind our farm, catching polliwogs and small fish in Lake Creek. Soon my family adventured to the Oregon and Washington coast to dig razor clams and catch Dungeness crabs. I loved being in small boats but dreamed of sailing a larger boat across an ocean.

After marriage and the birth of my three children, I did just that. For four and a half years we explored and circumnavigated the world. Later I would find more adventures in other parts of the world I had not yet seen. My life has been well filled with all the things I love most; my family, now with nine Great-grandchildren, my music (I love to play the piano), my hiking friends, and more friends that add new dimensions to my life. And still, adventure calls.
