Jerome C Vergamini

Jerome Vergamini is a retired psychiatrist who has trained both as a general psychiatrist and as a child and family psychiatrist. His undergraduate work was at two Minnesota schools, St. John's University in Collegeville, and St. Thomas College in St. Paul. He then got his M.D. and training in psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He was also raised in Wisconsin and was married for fifty-six years to the same woman until her recent passing. Together they raised three children. He served in the US Air Force as a psychiatrist on a missile base for two years during the Viet Nam era, then practiced in Wisconsin, and, for the last forty-eight years, in Oregon. Much of his practice consisted of consulting to a variety of child and adolescent programs, but also to the University of Oregon Health Center and in private practice. The decision to retire brought with it the opportunity to do some writing.
