Belinda Goldsmith

Belinda Goldsmith trained as a journalist on the Wimbledon News - back in the days of typewriters and carbon paper - and went on to work as a foreign correspondent for Australian Associated Press and Reuters for more than 30 years. She worked in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Sweden and the United States, with assignments in more than 40 countries, before returning to London as the editor-in-chief of the Thomson Reuters Foundation. She now runs the global media team at Save the Children. "Lockdown Letterboxes: A very British yarn about postbox graffiti knitters during COVID" is her first book and was driven by a desire to focus on something positive after lives were thrown into turmoil by the global pandemic in 2020-2021. All proceeds from the book went to UK charity YoungMinds.
