Jennifer Parks

Mrs. Jennifer C. Parks was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, but has spent the majority of her life in the Midwest region of the United States. After living abroad in Indonesia as a young girl, she and her family moved to Illinois where Jennifer attended school until attending Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. Following her undergraduate schooling, Jennifer has since served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer, worked at a Residential Youth Care Facility, served as a Command Ombudsman for the USS Porter (DDG 78), and as a Case Manager working with individuals with disabilities. Jennifer currently resides in Houma, Louisiana.

Jennifer has been fortunate enough to travel extensively throughout Europe and Asia over the course of her lifetime. She has also earned a Master’s Degree in Criminology through Adler University, and has been certified by the FBI in Crisis Negotiation. Throughout all of her experiences, Jennifer’s goal to give back and occupy her time with beneficial experiences continues to make her a valuable asset to her community through networking, resource knowledge, and an understanding and respect for the local community and cultural climate.

Helping others has always been a priority for Jennifer. Despite being a relatively new military spouse, she has repeatedly volunteered to assist other families transition into the community in Rota, Spain, and has continued to serve her community by taking on the role of Ombudsman. Jennifer’s previous experience as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army has provided her with an incredible sense of honor and dignity that she extends to Sailors and family members located around her. She aims to bring positivity to the lives of everyone she meets, and hopes to serve as a resource for everyone she interacts with, not just those within her day-to-day contact.
