Jackie Hemingway

Jackie Hemingway is an American author and painter. Her first two novels, Lady in Red and Lady Instead were both contending novels for fiction for the 2022 and 2023 Pulitzer Prize respectively.

She is a former STEM intelligence recruiter and is married to a U.S. intelligence officer. These experiences help form the foundation for many stories incorporated in her novel, Lady Misled.

Hemingway is a retired open water ocean swimmer and has written two short stories about surviving ordeals while swimming miles offshore.

Jackie is an advocate of equality and human rights for every person around the world.

She is a supporter of mental health counseling and therapy. Jackie credits her active participation in counseling with her therapist Stefanie as life-saving and life-changing and not only includes Stefanie as a main character within her novel Lady Misled, but dedicated the book to her.
