I have been a pharmacist for over 12 years and met some amazing children at work and outside of work. I strongly believe every child needs to hear they are loved and wonderfully made. I wrote about mental health for many years for health care professionals and as I did more research, I realized many experiences that we encounter as children have a life long impact on us. I wanted to give back something to our greatest blessings, our children, that will last a lifetime and an opportunity for every caregiver to let a child know they are wonderfully made.

I met children with no parents from all over the world who would say to me, “ If I was just born a different way or looked differently, someone would adopt me.” I heard comments every time that just cut through my heart and just wanted to tell them otherwise--- so I am finally doing it through this book. I met children who are privileged and still need to hear the message that they are wonderfully made.

I included complex topics and had my daughter help me write it in a way that children understand. I used key words so it will give caregivers a chance to tackle important topics such as bullying and self-esteem.

I had this book on my heart for many years, when COVID-19 happened, my daughter said to me, “Let’s do it mom, let us finally publish it, children all over the world need to hear this important message.”

I wanted to lay a strong foundation for children all over the world and improve their self-esteem and know they are wonderfully made.

I struggled to decide on a charity to donate 10% of book proceeds to, there are so many good causes, so many needs, but decided on The Drop Box Project – a place where babies can be taken to and not left in the street, over 600 precious babies have been saved so far!
