Joshua S. Hopping

Joshua S. Hopping is an Indigenous (Cherokee Nation) author, spiritual leader, and brand protection professional.

With over eighteen years of experience helping companies protect their intellectual property online, Joshua is an expert in dealing with trademark, copyright, and patent abuse. He is an Associate Member of the World Association of Detectives and a Professional Certified Investigator (PCI®) by ASIS International. From 2019-2021 he served on the Board of Directors for the Idaho chapter of InfraGard, a partnership between the FBI and members of the critical infrastructure private sector. Joshua is currently serving on the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) 2022-2023 Indigenous Rights Committee. He is also the co-creator of a patented brand abuse monitoring system with infringement detection engine and graphical user interface (US PTO #11328307).

Spiritually, Joshua is a passionate follower of the Creator with an interest in exploring Indigenous ways of following Jesus of Nazareth. He considers himself a Christian mystic with an emphasis on living out the inaugurated eschatology of kingdom theology within one’s daily life. By holding in tension the mystery of knowing and not knowing, Joshua seeks to embrace the missional journey of following the Creator into the darkness of unknown. Furthermore, he holds to a centered-set mindset that focuses on the personal journey of individual people rather than a one-time event established through doctrine, theology, or tradition.

Joshua is the former pastor of the Payette River Vineyard Christian Fellowship and the Kuna Vineyard: An Incarnational Community. He holds an Associate of Science in Design Technology Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from LeTourneau University (Longview, TX, USA) along with a Master of Arts in Theology and Culture from St. Stephen University (St. Stephen, NB, CA). Joshua has also been awarded a certificate of ministry through Vineyard Leadership Institute (VLI).
