Peter Burgham

Peter Burgham was born and raised in Liverpool, of mixed English/Welsh descent. His versatile, accessible and distinctive writing style has been recognised through success in numerous UK literary competitions, including many of the poems in his debut collection BIRD'S EYE VIEW, which was recommended by NEW WRITING NORTH in its Autumn Review 2021. As well as winning the Buxton Poetry competition in 2017, he has been placed or highly commended in several other UK poetry competitions. His latest collection (Sept 2026) is KALEIDOSCOPE CITY which focuses on coping with modern city life. He recently founded EBOR POETS in York, a creative group who write and perform contemporary poetry. Further information can be found on his website.
