William Gregory Harman

W. G. Harman, Ed.D., has been a professional teacher since 1994 and a teacher of teachers since 2004.

As a social studies teacher, he taught high school and middle school students U.S. history, civics, U.S. government, comparative government, and East Asian history and culture.

As a professor and mentor to teacher candidates, he specializes in educational philosophy, educational psychology, and social studies methods as well as mentoring candidates in their student teaching.

He also holds certification in physical education, a Masters' in Educational Administration, and a third dan in classical shorin-ryu karate.

He has edited for Social Justice Journal of Education, reviewed for Education Policy Analysis Archives, and has published in both as well as in Educational Theory, Teaching with Primary Sources: Research & Practice, Critical Questions in Education, and Teaching & Learning.

He also has assembled an open source social studies methods text and various other essays, available upon request.
