Irena Kossakowski is the author of two books on factual history: the story of her father Waclaw Piotr Kossakowski; A Homeland Denied: In the footsteps of a Polish POW and its prequel, A Love Denied: Love letters from the past.
A public speaker, Irena has travelled extensively worldwide giving talks of her books and Polish history, meeting with the Polish Ambassador to the UK, Arkady Rzegocki and the Polish Secretary of State Anna Maria Anders. Writing several magazine and newspaper articles on the subject, Irena has also spoken on Polish television and Radio.
Growing up in a Polish community in Derby and Nottingham, Irena was immersed in the tragedy of Polish history and has an endearing love for Poland. One of three triplets, Irena enjoys living in the South Hams, walking her dog in the beautiful countryside of Devon.
