Maria Newman

Maria Newman is otherwise known as Mummy on a Break. She is the founder of The Busy Working Mums Club, is a coach, mentor and trainer.

Maria knows all too well what it is like to feel stuck and to have challenges in life. Challenges that seem difficult to overcome when you’re a busy working mum.

That’s why Maria started Mummy on a Break. She took the opportunity to step away from her corporate career, as a project manager working for Rolls-Royce, so that she could focus on what was next.

She’d become caught up on the treadmill of life and found herself waking up most mornings thinking ‘is this it?’ Having put off doing something about it, she took the brave decision to take action and left her corporate job in 2016, which at the time was the thing that was making her feel stuck.

Having been on her own journey to become unstuck, Maria now helps ambitious mums overcome their challenges so they can lead a happy and calm life whilst being a great role model through 1:1 coaching.

About the Author

Maria grew up in the West Country and now lives in Bristol with her husband and two children.

Maria has many passions in life that support her well-being. She believes that anything can be solved by sitting around the dinner table and eating a delicious meal that she’s cooked. She loves being outside and going for a run, not necessarily because she loves running but because she gets time to herself, she gets to listen to an inspiring book on Audible and she can immerse herself in nature. She also enjoys the discipline and physical challenge of kickboxing martial arts, which started because she won a freebie in a Christmas raffle in 2018.
