Mr Bruce Hewett

After graduating as a pharmacist in Perth, Western Australia, Bruce set off to see the world but fell in love with his first stop in the Fiji Islands. During the next 10 years in Fiji, he managed a community pharmacy in Suva, established his own community pharmacy in the township of Lami and represented Fiji in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games in yachting.

Bruce married a local Fiji gal Beverley and following the birth of their first child, the family made the difficult decision to leave behind family and friends in Fiji, to commence a new life in Sydney, Australia. In Sydney, Bruce joined the pharmaceutical industry where he spent the next 35 years in a variety of senior management roles in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, as well as, establishing his own successful consulting business.

Now living in Melbourne, Australia, Bruce spends his time as a non-executive director of two companies. He also enjoys keeping fit, voluntary work with a charity and spending time with his two children, Vanessa and Sean and their families. This is Bruce’s first novel.
