Marcia Brissett-Bailey

Marcia Brissett-Bailey, has featured in Forbes, is a narrative changer, provoking the representation of Dyslexia and neurodiversity. Nominated for the Stereotype Buster of the year category at the 2021 Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards!

Marcia has a social science BSc (Hons) degree in social Science and information science, qualified careers adviser with a post-graduate in Career guidance, Master in Special Educational Needs, IPSEA trained to L3, Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in school and certificate in Counselling Skills.

She is a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, information, Support, Service , Advice officer providing impartial advice to empower parents and young people. An advocate and champion of Dyslexia and neurodiversity. Board Adviser Member of the Centre for Neurodiversity Research at work, Observer observer on the executive board of the British dyslexia Association, judge panelist member at the 2021 Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards!

A co-founder of the British Dyslexia Cultural Perspective Committee, trustee at the Waltham Forest Dyslexia Association, which she hopes will enable others with a Dis-Ability to find their voices, especially from cultural perspective, she is also an inspirational speaker, and provide consultancy work for CIC business and charities.

Marcia is an author in her first anthology with focus of embracing neurodiversity in Business, and currently writing her own book on dyslexia with a publishing deal to be released in n2022. She is also features in two books, ‘Dyslexia from a Cultural Perspective’, and ‘The Bigger Picture Book of Amazing Dyslexics and the Jobs They Do’.
