Debra Jean Collett

Debra Jean Collett was born in Brigham City, Utah as the third sibling out of seven. She began her college education with a scholarship in performing arts, having an extensive background in musical theatre, vocal performing and music composition. She plays two instruments: the guitar and piano. Composing and writing music is a favorite pastime. Blessed with these talents she experienced a European Performing Arts Tour for two months. Writing and performing have been enjoyed as a large part of her life. A turn of events caused her to change course and pursue a degree in nursing. She has had a successful career in Pediatric Nursing, her specialty. While attending nursing school, she engaged in various sports; snow skiing, water skiing, golf, and tennis. She served as a high school tennis coach, a softball coach, and a soccer coach. Raising six children is considered her greatest accomplishment. Her amazing grandchildren, sixteen of them, are the joy of her life. There are two sets of twins among these children. Debra, who prefers to be called Debi, has a strong testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ and felt inspired to write this book and share her family's incredible faith-promoting experiences. She strongly feels that we can't help make a difference until we are willing to become vulnerable and share our lives with others.
